Jason Provancha brings something very special to Richland Park Farmer's Market. There are many ferments out there, but of them, water kefir and coconut kefir are not readily available in our stores, and excellent enough that they need to be. These are probiotic, tasty drinks that help replenish the good bacteria in your belly and system, and we could all use that, no matter what our state of health is. There are many strains of the good, probiotic bacteria, and it is great to get as much variety as you can. Research shows a direct link between gut bacteria and mental health and brain function, and Nature's Cornerstone brings you a variety of these probiotics in their fizzy, refreshing flavors of kombucha and water kefir, and creamy coconut kefir. The coconut kefir is wonderful topped with fresh fruit, or in a smoothy, and the water kefir and kombucha taste like fizzy sodas, but are naturally carbonated as a bi product of the beneficial bacteria forming. Natural soda alternative AND probiotics? Win WIN!
Jason started Nature's Cornerstone at the beginning of the 2015 farmer's market season. He wanted to have his own business and he wanted to do something to help people. Lucky for us, he chose the delicious route. He knew that these products were not readily available and were something very important to share with his community. He originally found about about kombucha and kefir while researching for himself when he was having some stomach issues. These ferments helped him so much, he had to share. He knows we live in a society that experiences regular heartburn, acid reflux, and IBS, and antibiotic overuse. He says that many people just think that's how it is and accept it, but we were not built to be that way. We are not built to just have heartburn.
The name Nature's Cornerstone comes from being inspired by what nature provides us for our health, and Psalm 118:22 'The stone which the builder rejected has become the chief cornerstone.' Jason uses organic whenever possible, and offers some unique flavor combinations like mango cranberry, and blueberry ginger. He loves Richland Park Farmer's market for the wonderful community. It is fulfilling to him be providing a service that benefits his neighbors. He loves meeting and enjoying the people, being out side, and ultimately connecting with and helping people. His goal with Nature's Cornerstone is to make a living and reach as many people as he can with this highly beneficial, delicious drinks. We are so thankful to have him at our market, and his mother, Erika, when she takes over some Saturdays.
Find Nature's Cornerstone from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ever Saturday through December, and try for yourself how good these drinks can make you feel!
