Carol Batey is the woman behind the amazingly crafted products available at Richland Park Farmer's Market each Saturday at Carol's Vibrations booth. She started making skin care products over 30 years ago, so we can feel confident that these products are tried and true. Now in the beginning of her sixties, Carol has had so much experience that she can give you the inside scoop on everything in her products and why they are the best suited for the results you are looking for. She's got it narrowed down to a select few products after everything she has made, and they are the best of the best.
Carol started making products for herself when she was in her twenties and got into the world of herbs and their natural healing properties. She had some injuries and illnesses that she was not seeing the healing results with until she started using herbs. This gave Carol insider experience and led to her wanting to know more about how and why the herbs worked, and how and why the body responded to them. Carol went on to complete herbal studies and also became a lisenced aesthetician, making for a very unique and effective combination for the production of natural, local skin care.
Being a lisenced aesthetician, Carol knows how the skin is nourished, calmed, and protected. Being an herbalist, Carol knows the herbs that have the beneficial properties for the skin and for creating practical combinations, like bug repellant that also moisturizes and protects skin from the elements, and contains no damaging chemicals. Her favorite herbs to use are calendula, comfrey and plantain. Carol grows many herbs herself on her porch, and makes all of her products herself in small batches. She knows the best ways to get the healing properties from the herbs she uses for each product, and will set them out in the sun to impart their healing properties into the oils, or simmer them at low temperatures overnight. So much love and care is put into each batch.
Carol has been selling at the markets for several years now, and loves the vibe and all of the one on one connection with people that the market brings. She loves that she can give personalized service by being face to face with those using her products. She is pleased to make a special batch minus and ingredient or two if someone is sensitive or allergic, and this is the beauty of connecting at the Richland Park Farmer's Market.
Come vist Carol's Vibrations every Saturday, May through December, and see for yourself the benefits of locally crafted skin care products made with love and experience.
